Most people will say, “ah, I’m already working oh and I’m comfortable with it, I want to be serious with” and lots of other things. Although learning a new skill has been the talk of the day. Most people always talk about improving themselves in their work, making some meaningful research or venturing into a new work entirely. But come to think of it, is having one source of income advisable? The answer is NO! Even at that some people still it unwise or maybe unimportant learning a new skill.

I would want to grow and improve and below is listed some reasons why you should be skillful. please take note that this is not for those with class or the classless, the employed or the unemployed, it’s for everyone.

  1. A higher source of income: Most at-times the salary we get from our employees can’t sustain us or probably you haven’t been paid for your services in months. This is one of the reasons why you need and extra source of income and it can only happen when you are skillful, or if you want to quit your job totally you have to build up another source of income which you have 90% if not 100% knowledge about, which will suit your standard of living.
  1. It increases your knowledge: If you want to improve or grow, you must be versatile, you must be ready to learn new things. In your field, are you giving your best and is your best enough? Having competitors who are in the same line of trade should tell you that you have to step up else you mind be out dated. You can try reading a new book and making a lot of research.
  1. It keeps you busy: Acquiring a new skill makes you occupied and engaged. Like we all say, “an idle man is the devil’s workshop” When you busy always it keeps you free from the negative thought, surely your thought is going to be filled with questions on how you can develop yourself/ work.
  1. The quest to know more: Improvement is a must for anyone who wants to grow, you should always challenge yourself to be better than where you are now. Your competition shouldn’t be with others it should be with who you are or who you were yesterday. If you can’t detect any positive difference in your life permit me to say that you aren’t growing.

The  world is advancing if you don’t learn you might be-left out, education is t only what you were thought in school, it’s a life time process.
